Environmental, Social and Governance

Sustainability

Value Retail’s mission is to create flagship retail destinations that deliver positive impact socially, economically and environmentally within our local and global communities, to our brand partners and to our guests.

We aim to embed an environmentally sustainable mindset into our culture, underpinned by the strength of our governance and policies. We aim to foster a diverse set of voices and to make a positive impact within our local and global communities.

Sustainability of the Villages is currently measured by GRESB and BREEAM.

Environmental

We promote the principle of environmental sustainability in all facets of the business from design and construction to ongoing operations and use. We place an emphasis on monitoring and reducing our environmental impact across the Villages as we aim to reduce water and energy use, reduce waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Social

We aspire to improve the lives of our brands, our guests and our colleagues.

Additionally, we're privileged to partner with a network of 10 charitable organisations through our DO GOOD programme, unified by the shared mission to empower women and children. (To learn more about our charity partners, click here.) The Bicester Collection’s charity partners are embedded within the local communities in which it operates, as well as in communities in need around the world.

We continue to promote the work of other organisations, including Partners In Health, which works with national governments to provide care and strengthen public health systems in areas including cancer and chronic disease, child health, emergency response, HIV/AIDS, maternal health, mental health, and tuberculosis.
